A little about me…

👩🏻‍🏫 I'm a musician, educator, and entrepreneur. By day, I make my living as a nonprofit leader, teaching trainer and faculty member, and consultant. By night, I make YouTube videos and other internet things about intentional living.

  1. 🎬 On my YouTube channel, I make videos about intentional living and lifestyle design through mindful productivity, minimalism, meditation, and entrepreneurship.

  2. 💌 I aspire to write a regular-ish email newsletter. Here I share some thoughts about subjects I've been pondering, along with links to books, articles, and podcasts that I've been enjoying. Join the fam here.

  3. 🎵 I founded an international music nonprofit that connects musicians to youth empowerment programs all around the world. As a result, I travel to about 20-25 countries annually and am sometimes asked to consult for music nonprofits, speak, present trainings, and other cool things.

  4. 👩🏻‍💻 As I have capacity to devote, I plan to keep a repository of recommendations like useful articles, blogs, podcasts, books, British TV shows, and the like. I’ve found these things helpful over the years, and I’ll keep adding to them as I find other worthy candidates.

Other Cool Stuff

  1. 💜 I’m a proud member of the LGBTQIA community. My partner and I have been going strong for 10 years. Our two fur babies 🐕🐺 complete our home.

  2. 🏡 Speaking of home, during the pandemic, my partner and I built a tiny house in TN. It’s an ongoing project that we hope to have completely off-grid and serve as an artist retreat.

  3. 🎶 As a clarinetist, I’ve had the distinct honor of performing alongside members of the Simón Bolívar Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, teaching music and performing in 20+ countries, and studying at conservatory with some of the greatest pedagogues of our time.

  4. 🎓 I’m a first generation college graduate…and first generation to the USA for that matter. I always worked multiple jobs while going to school to make ends meet. Maybe one day I’ll write a book about all the weird and interesting ‘gigs’ I’ve done. All that gritty persistence, luck, and some really devoted mentors paid off: I graduated with my second Master’s from Harvard University in 2020.
